Hi! We are Cecilia and Gerardo, your hosts, the proud owners and managers of El Pilpayo, a young hospitality project where we have devoted all our energy.
You will find us in Quintes, a village within the Mariña area of the municipality of Villaviciosa, in the Comarca de La Sidra (The Cider District). A beautiful rural landscape near the city of Gijón and very close to the Playa de España beach.
Due to its excellent location, El Pilpayo is an ideal place as a base to get to know coastal and mountainous Asturias, as well as rest and enjoy the gastronomy of the area.

We have a century-old, Asturian veranda-style house which has been newly refurbished. Here tradition and modernity come together within a rural environment, whilst also being very close to the urban surroundings.
On the ground floor there are 4 apartments (one of them adapted), 2 communal living rooms and the reception. In the garden there is an old refurbished panera (a traditional raised granary) and south facing rest areas. On the upper floor is the veranda, where 5 other apartments are located.
At the back of the main house is El Gallinero, a beautiful and spacious, fully rentable house, with its own garden and barbecue.
We have two comfortable living rooms in the main building, both on the ground floor and accessible from both sides of the house. Each has a reading area, flat-screen TV, fireplace and toilets.
In the annex building we have a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer (check timetable).
In the main part of the house is the south facing garden and the living area, with tables and parasols. Here you will also find a beautiful, century-old panera.
At the back of the house, you will find a large garden on a 2,500 m2 plot, where you can enjoy the barbecue, play area and private parking.
